Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before using the Wedding Calligrapher website. By ordering from The Wedding Calligrapher, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out on these pages.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Each of the clauses of these terms and conditions shall be construed independently of each other and the invalidity of any one part shall not affect the validity of any other.
The Wedding Calligrapher has used all reasonable endeavours to ensure that information provided through this website is accurate, however we accept no liability for any inaccuracies, errors or omissions through technical or other reasons.
We reserve the right at any time and without prior notice to change these terms and conditions and to make changes and corrections to the material on the site. By continuing to use the site following any such change you will be deemed to have accepted such change.
Your financial information is not stored by The Wedding Calligrapher. Your name, address, email address, and order history will be stored by The Wedding Calligrapher. We reserve the right to contact you by email on matters concerning your orders and to advise you of relevant news and product updates. We will not disclose your personal information to any third parties. We reserve the right to show images of all our work online, in our promotional literature and in press features.

Timings
Products are sourced and / or manufactured by The Wedding Calligrapher strictly to your order and are not held in stock.
We will notify you either if there will be a delay or if an item is no longer available. If the item is no longer available or advertised colours or decorative options are not available, we reserve the right to offer you an alternative similar in price and quality. You will be advised in writing of any such changes to your order after which time you may cancel your order within 7 days of our sending written notification of alternatives to you.
Booking Fee for advance bookings
Your order will be confirmed only when a booking fee of 50% or of an amount specified by ourselves is paid by cheque, cash or online with a debit or credit card through PayPal. This booking fee is non-refundable. Payment of a 50% booking fee secures your order at the current price and guarantees a work date in our bookings schedule. This work date will be confirmed in writing by email or letter. In the event that you are not satisfied with the work date allocated to you it is your responsibility to notify us in writing within 7 days of receiving confirmation from us so that a suitable date can be agreed upon or your order cancelled. If you do not contact us within 7 days to dispute a work date allocation you are deemed to accept the date given for production of your order. It is your responsibility to be aware of this work date and to ensure all the information we have stated as required to complete your order has been supplied prior to the work date given.
Should you fail to supply all requested information and full payment prior to your allocated work date, The Wedding Calligrapher will be under no obligation to complete your order on the given date. We may at our discretion allocate a later work date but you understand and accept that this is not always possible and that by causing us to miss your allocated work date you leave us no option but to cancel your order. We retain the right to collect payment in full for your order if we are unable to complete the work in such circumstances as detailed above.
Should you wish to cancel your order, we offer a 7 day cooling off period from and inclusive of the day your booking fee is paid or cheque received by us. This excludes any urgent orders where we have told you work will begin on your order within 7 days of ordering. During these 7 days you may change your mind and any money paid will be refunded. Should you wish to cancel your order later than 8 days after your booking fee is paid or cheque received by us, we will refund any money paid less the booking fee. If you attempt to cancel your order after work commences, then The Wedding Calligrapher has the right to collect payment in full for your order.
Price & Payment
Prices are determined by reference to The Wedding Calligrapher price list quoted on the website (which we can change at any time and without notice in the case of an error).
You can choose to pay for your order by personal cheque. Please allow 5 working days for cheques to clear and be aware that The Wedding Calligrapher is under no obligation to despatch your order until funds have cleared. Please send the cheque, made payable to The Wedding Calligrapher to The Wedding Calligrapher, 1 Ludlow Road, Stockport, Cheshire. SK2 5BQ. An email will be sent as confirmation of receipt of your cheque. In the event that you have insufficient funds available for your cheque to clear, you will be contacted by email advising you that your payment has not been received, and your order will be cancelled until such a time as you are able to make payment in full for your order.
You can choose to pay for your order using your Credit/Debit card online via PayPal. Please request a PayPal invoice which we will email to you, and follow the instructions. You do not need to be a registered Paypal customer to use the PayPal secure online payment system. Terms and conditions relating to the PayPal facility can be found at www.PayPal.co.uk and by sending payment for your order from The Wedding Calligrapher through PayPal you acknowledge that you understand, accept and agree to be bound by the PayPal terms and conditions. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours and that you have given us the correct billing address of your credit or debit card.
Cancellations and Refunds
Because all orders are personalised with your individual details, refunds and exchanges will only be made if the items ordered do not meet the specifications of your order as set out in writing by The Wedding Calligrapher prior to despatch. This does not affect your statutory rights. If all or part of your order is faulty or not what you ordered please provide a full description of the fault and return the defective item in its original packaging and in as new condition to the address above.
Delivery
Delivery of your order shall be subject to payment by you of the delivery charges specified on the Wedding Calligrapher website, which may be changed by us at our discretion. The Wedding Calligrapher accepts no responsibility for goods lost, damaged or delayed in the post.
All orders are delivered either by Royal Mail or Parcelforce, delivery being Monday to Friday. This does not include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, however Royal Mail reserve the right to deliver your order on a non working day, subject to capacity. The Wedding Calligrapher has no control over this.
A signature may be requested for proof of delivery so please select a delivery address where someone you trust will be available to sign for the delivery of your order. If no one is home a card will be left by Parcelforce / Royal Mail stating where the goods may be collected.
Any dates quoted for delivery of orders are approximate only and The Wedding Calligrapher shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of your order however caused. The Wedding Calligrapher will not be held liable for late delivery of goods due to holidays, industrial action or any other incident outside our control.
If The Wedding Calligrapher fails to deliver your order for reasons other than any cause beyond our reasonable control and we are found to be liable to you, the liability of The Wedding Calligrapher shall be limited to the invoice price of the order.
Property / Ownership
Ownership of your order shall not pass to you until payment in full has been received in cash or cleared funds for the price of your order. Until such time as the ownership of items ordered passes to you, The Wedding Calligrapher shall be entitled to ask you to return your order to us in as new condition and in the original packaging.
Receipt of Goods
Upon delivery of your order, you shall examine all items received and within 7 days of delivery notify The Wedding Calligrapher in writing of any apparent damage, defect or shortage. In default of such written notification, The Wedding Calligraphershall be deemed conclusively to have properly performed all obligations in relation to the purchase and sale of the goods. In the event of a claim, settlement will be limited to the value of the goods defectively produced and will in no way extend to consequential loss, however caused.
All descriptions, photographs, illustrations and designs contained on the Wedding Calligrapher website or otherwise provided to the customer are intended for general guidance only and shall not be binding on The Wedding Calligrapher and are only approximate indications of the design, features, size or colour of goods. The sales of such goods shall not be reference thereto.
